Default S.E. back plate

I have a stage I a/c kit, I purchased for my 2006 Wide Glide, with the 88" motor. I now have a 2007 with the 96". My question is...Will the back plate I bought for the 88" work with the 96". I know it will bolt on, I tried it. But I am wondering if it will flow enough air to be effective as a performance booster.

I built my 88" up to a 95", with the SE plate, No problem.

I just replaced my AN Big Sucker backplate with the SE backplate, to help get rid of the oil spray of the AN backplate. I did not notice any change in performance.
