hi everyone,to make a long story short. i picked up my heads after having them rebuilt by a mechanic at a local dealer;to old for the company to do so the mechanic moonlights on the older stuff....new valves, guides, took them home and blew the grease off the stems and low and behold NO vavle seals!!!! so without hearing any bs, i need to know if the outside of the new guides need cut for any/all new valve seals...i guess this could be why he didnt do it.....btw its a 77 sporty.. thanks wm

 

Guides and bottom collars need to be massaged for the seals.
