While trying to find a cam for my 07 FLSRC I have come to a little knowledge on cams.
If you look at the 46*ATDC intake closing on the 31 cam I believe that would even raise the power band even higher in the RPM range than the 37's which is 38* and the 26's have a 35* closing.
From what I have learned reading below 35* ATDC intake closing give more low-mid tq
for the heavier bikes, so it would seem the 31 cam would be worse than even the 37's for making low-mid tq.
Bigboyzcycles.com has a really good website to compare most harely cams by their numbers if you havent seen it I would reccomend it....

I would have to agree with oct1949. Stock compression is somewhere around 9:1. In that case closing the intake around 30* will make optimum low end torque but will suffer at rpms over 5000. If you are like me and have the rev-limiter set at 5300 or less and are looking for some real usable torque between 2200 and 3000 to compliment the 6 speed, you are not going to like the 31 in a stock bike. I personally wouldn't try a 31 unless I was pushing something like 10.5:1 compression.
