Default Dial Indicator

Can anyone make a suggestion on a good Dial Indicator and magnetic base? I don't own a shop and it's for personal use but I don't mind spending the money for the right tool. Quality and performance first. Oh yeah and I'd rather not buy an import.

Thx guys

That depends on what you want to do with it. There is nothing wrong with imports. The best indicator on the market in my opinon is Interrapid. But that will cost you $150 for one with .0005 increments. Check MSC. You can get inexpensive base and indicator sets for about $75.

Hate to admit it but I have the above setup. Honestly it gets used a couple time a year. I keep the dial indicator in the box in a safe place.

For me and my use, its perfect.
