SE264 Cams Screamin eagle CNC ported heads noisey
I have the 113 kit with screamin eagle CNC ported heads SE264 cam. The valve train noise is loud real loud is these heads alway this bad on noise? I hear people say that they were bad but didn't know they were this loud. Thinking about going back to the 103 kit with mild head work done to stock heads. Anyone have any ideas about these cnc ported heads

Yes, that 264se is a noisy cam. I am pretty sure it is a .635 lift. When your motor gets good and hot, and you come to a stop, your valve trane makes a lot more noise at idle...I'm just guessin.
BTW that 264se is the same cam in my Jim's 131". I went to Amsoil straight 60w Racing oil during the Texas summer heat. You have a big motor, it makes more heat. I also had the oil pressure relief spring in the cam support plate replaced. If I were not under warranty on this motor right now, I would have repalced the the oilpressure relief spring with a Baisley #2 spring.
I also agree with you that this cam doesn't come to life untill about 2800 rpm. You might also want to get a set of jim's powerglide II lifters. I smoked a set of lifters in a 120" Jim's motor with a .650 lift cam...it tore up the whole motor. It's cheap insurance to do the oil and the spring.

Or better yet, try something OTHER than a SE grind. Regardless, the 264's are designed for TOP END power, not low or midrange power. You want something more geared for the street, look for a cam with an intake closing point in the high 30's to mid 40's. Preferrably by Woods Performance.
