can i run i set of 99 se heads on a 09 classic without the upper mount?no,dont want to drill and tap a hole,just bolt them on without the top mount.

 

The top mount is part of the stabilizer for your engine vibration. When I was having the motor work done at the dealer before picking it up they tried to put 07 heads on and it wouldnt work.
My heads had to be sent to Branch-Okeefe in California for head work. Also found out that my heads were a alloy that isnt aluminum. I wanted to have the cumbustion chambers reworked but in the end porting and polishing was all they could do. They couldnt weld up the chambers
