Default What's up with this plug behind the air cleaner?

So I was looking at my air cleaner, which is the Arlen Ness Big Sucker. anyways, I noticed that there was a plug kind of tucked behind it, behind the left side screw that holds the a/c filter/kit in place. I am just wondering if it's supposed to be like that, seems like it's kind of out of place.

I did notice on the back of the plate that the a/c filter is on, there's a little hole type deal and the plug has a push-pin type thing. Is that supposed to go in there or what?

Anyways, here's the plug as it is after the dealers installed the A/C kit...

And here's what it looks like when I pull it out from where they had it...

And here's a pic behind the plate where the little hole is that I'm wondering if is where that pushpin is supposed to go...

Any ideas?

I installed my stage I and that connector was connected to the stock air box. It doesn't do anything though. I remember looking in the manual and reading that is was for a different configuration of some sort. I just zip tied it out of the way.

International bikes have solenoid-operated flaps in the airbox and exhaust. That is the wire in the harness for the airbox solenoid. It's unused on the domestic versions. Don't worry about it. If you have (as it seems) the place to re-hang it, that would be your best option.
