Default SS braided crossover line issues

Well I installed the HD braided crossover line for my WG HD part # 63729-04.
Has anyone else installed one of these for any model?
I have had nothing but issues with leaks, woke up this morning to find a wet garage floor and a rubber seal pushed pretty much all the way out of the nut.
I am wondering if I actually got the part # I ordered, I can’t believe this would be so difficult.
When I first installed it I had to make a special washer on one side ( the side that did NOT leak this morning) It seems to me that the ID of the nut is too large for the application and allows the rubber seal to extrude through.

I would really like to hear from anyone that has installed the SS braided crossover and if you had any issues or not.
Thanks

That is a lousy design, just about every one I've seen has leaked, they do sell a seal kit for them. If it's new, I'd return it as defective.

My Road King uses a different part number but it looks like it's made the same as yours. I had the dealer install mine before I took delivery in June 2005. 60,000+ miles later it hasn't leaked a drop. Sorry you're having trouble.

I have one on my Ultra and have not had any leaks. It has been off twice with new seals installed. The trick is to just barely tighten the nuts until the seal just STARTS to come thru and it must come thru evenly. Very, very light on the torque is the key.

Thanks for the tip, I will try that as it looks like the one side is working it's way out now.
What a PITA
