What effect do slip on mufflers have for low speed power? I am guessing not a lot, or negative but really don,t know. Anyone have dyno info of the change to slipons by themselves? I want just a little more bark, but also won't go with new mufflers unless they are worth some power. They need to at least keep the low speed torque the motor has and maybe gain some in the mid to upper range for me to consider them. Thanks, Greg

 

If they're good quality, they will help everywhere, although you really need a freer-breathing air cleaner for them to work right. Cycle Shacks are the torque kings.

 

Keep the baffle size around 1 3/4" and you'll be fine with low end torque. Once you start going with larger baffles like a 2" or 2 1/2", you'll loose low-end torque for a few HP on the top end.
