Default Loctite use

Is it really necessary to use loctite on the rocker box bolts, rocker and breather bolts and rocker cover bolts?

yes it is as the amount of expansion and contraction that the parts go through you may end up with a loose bolt . Have the rocker support plate come loose and you are in for a huge mess in the top end. Have seen the end result when a customer tried to do some work at home. He thought that he did not need any loctite. Better safe than sorry.

my buddy did not think he needed to and I told him he should and he had a rattle a few thousand miles down the road. No damage but had to pull the rocker boxes.

You need to use loctite on just about everything on a Harley. They vibrate, and they always will shake things loose.
For the price of a little bottle of loctite, it's good insurance.
