I'm new to Harley, and want to change my Exhaust, but have no clue as to where to begin, with my previouse bike, it was just, pipes, new jet kit, and kuryakyn hyper charger, but now with fuel injection, its throwing me off.
I am assuming by your name you have a '09 RK. You can change you exhaust without any other mods and the stock computer will adjust to it. Most people use a fuel management system to "richen" the AF ratio to help the bike run cooler. Are you wanting slip ons or a whole new exhaust?
Thanks KSGLIDEGUY, yep 09 RKC. I was thinking of doing Python slip on's and an Arlen Ness, big Sucker, to start. Then after the holiday spending season, going with a thunder max.

my power commander failed first rain back fired and blur off the mufflers
sent it in for repair took 7 months to get it back
re installed it failed again o its out of warranty now
put it on the vice and smashed it and sent it in again with a letter
reply need to keep it out of the water
If you throw a new set of mufflers on, you can get by without a fuel management system like a Power Commander. Change out the air cleaner, and you will begin to run lean and the exhaust will pop without a fuel management system to correct the air/fuel ratio.

A DynoJet PC product available through the forum sponsor FuelMoto, provided with a "canned" map will give you the smooth performance you're seeking. Better yet, in the future you'll have a tuner worthy of more agressive modifications that can benefit from a full dyno tune.

I recommend either a ThunderHeader or Rinhart exhaust. As for the tuner I like the TTS mastertune. It uses stock computer. Which I think is very water resistant; )
