Default Identify a set of cams...

I bought a set of cams from the Internet for my bike. No big deal, paid $40 shipped for them. Now I am trying to ID which cam is which, and what they are exactly. They are supposed to be SE 203's, but the only marking I found on them is a stamping that says "CVO-253" on the side of one of the lobes.

So are these 253's or 203's? If they are the 253's, doesn't that mean I wont be able to use them in my otherwise stock TC88B? (I have A/C and exhaust mods)

253 is what you have specs are 538/538 lift Duration is 240/256 with intake @ 7/53 exhaust 59/17.

Overall these are going to need at least 9.8.1 compression , they work in larger inch engines and are what you would call a mid range cam. They are not a cam you would want to put in a stock 88 incher. It would make the bike extremely lazy on the low end and overall I think you would be let down by the new lack of performance with the cams in your engine. If you are looking for 203s let me know we have several sets.

There are so many other better cams out there to choose from unless a 203 was free or very cheap I would look to other cams. As well if you increase the size of the engine later they will grow with the new build and only make more power.

Seller needs to refund you're $40 plus shipping both ways. Seller may have sent wrong set or just didn't know what the CVO 253 on the cam indicated which I doubt.

Those cams aren't even that good when used in the right application. I call them emisisons performance cams. I have 3 sets in the shop i yanked from CVO bikes. Much better choices out there.

Well, unless someone has a good set of cams for around $50, that's all I have extra to spend right now.

I am contacting the seller to see if he sent me the wrong ones or not.
