I have an '03' softtail. About 2 weeks ago it started sputtering and hesitating on take off. It doesn't do it all the time. When it does do it the engine is warmed up or at full operating temp. At first I thought it was water in the fuel. I added canned heat and topped off the tank. It ran good. The next day it started acting up again. I can duplicate what it does at will by pulling of the throttle postitioning sensor. I took it to the dealership and of coarse it ran fine for them. They said they put 15 miles on it no probblem. When the problem does occure I can nurse it home by keeping the RPM's reved up. Its like once I get through a certain RPM range it will run. When I took it to the dealership it was acting up. Half way there it line out and ran smooth.
