Default Improving Sound

I need some advice and assistance. I have a EFI Fat Boy, 2005 and it has been perfect in every way. One of my first projects was to do Stage I all done by dealer and all done well. I crave a little better sound, however, and am looking at V&H Staggered Big Shots or possibly Long Shots. My questions: 1. Is there much sound difference in the two (hard to tell by listening on the V&H web site). 2. How much more sound will I get than my current SE slip ons? (they are sweet but need a little more). 3. Dealer tells me if I go with V&H I will need Racing Tuner (Power Commander) plus 3 hours of dyno time plus pipes. Over $1000.00 tab. Is there a less expensive way WITHOUT SACRIFICE OF QUALITY? Thanks as always, Ed

As far as the difference between longshots and BSS, I can only give what I hear at idle (have not rode one with longshots), The longs are a little deeper to me. I just got a download for mine and was told that it was for more air intake (stg. 1) and free flowing exhaust, not a specific brand. A different option is Python staggered duals, I got mine for 150 bucks less than V&H and they sound great. Do you have the SE or the SEII "race only"?
