Default cam guides on a "88"

I bought this FLH at 26,000 mi from a salvage yard. I had every intention of checking the Cam slack addjusters but I can't help it I must ride this bike . Well I have 29,000 this month and I think I here some high pitched sounds in the right front of the engine (I really don't hear to well) so these sounds might have been going on since I startted ridding it. Anyhow how long should it it take a old but good mechanic to change these things. also I bought new Harley peiecs 2 spring tennisinors and a rubbing guide. Parts guy said they a now and improved the spring loaded ones look like fiber more than hard plastic. I have a manual and befor I take off for florida I better do this Right. Don 02Flh

You can use an open end wrench to pull back the tensioner and then use an allen wrench of the proper size to insert in to hold it back. Been done that way more than once. Search on this forum for pics, there's several out there.
