Default glowing header pipes

My pipes are glowing brite red harley shop can't find anything on the computer except voltage was 11.2 amps so they changed stator and regulator .i still have the same problem. leak down and compretion good so far. this is a stock 2003 electra glide. also changed gaskets to header pipes. this bike is also EFI.also the bike has been hot enough to peal paint off frame&nbsp\\;HELP

It's not uncommon to see headers glow red at night but if this is happening in the day light your timing or fuel is off kilter

After re-reading your original post [I tend to speed read most &amp\\; often miss a few things] I see you have a stock bike. Unless you changed something I would agree with Doc. Does this happen only when the bike is idling or when you're cruising or both? I've seen a few when they sit there idling the pipes would start to glow. Everybody with a new bike can vouch for that.

ive seen my 2005 road king and a buddies 2007 night train glow with no mods done at all.&nbsp\\; only see it at night after putting around in town tho.

I would check around the intake manifold to see if you had a vacuum leak. Try a little spray of carb cleaner around the ports at idle. It will raise the idle if it has a leak. A leak may cause a lean condition and make the pipes glow. Good Luck!

the pipes will glow at 55 mph as well as idle.it will hesatate taking off at a stop light then pickup speed after throtling back and fourth a few times
