Default AMS lifters dead after 5000 miles

Found a bad rocker in my 06 bob, then two bad lifters. Anyone know if its bad to run the AMS lifters with a feuling pump? Put the stock rockers back on, and the old lifters back in and picked up at least 10mph&nbsp\\;on the hills.

It's not the fueling pump....your not going to get a better lifter than the stock lifters period.

You be sure to do that, I have tested many of the lifters on the market today and most are snake oil....I tested products on the dyno for 5 years and lifters where part of that testing so if you find a lifter better than the stock one let us know.

Doc is right we tested a bunch. Most competition lifters are just noisier. Cheaper to use stock in all but the most extreme.

So the Jim's Big Axle lifters that I installed a couple of weeks ago won't be more duruble than stock Harley lifters? Thought I was actually doing an upgrade over stock.
