Default Air Filter Question

I have a carbed, 05 FXST (Softail Standard) that has Hooker Staggered straight (no baffles)&nbsp\\;pipes on it. Is there anything I would have to do to the carb, or anything else, if I wanted to put an aftermarket air cleaner kit on it? Would it be a&nbsp\\;"take off the stock air cleaner and bolt on the aftermarket air cleaner" type job or is it more complicated then that?&nbsp\\;Would the performance be noticeable?&nbsp\\; Any help is very much appreciated!&nbsp\\; T.J.&nbsp\\;

The bike will have more power due to more air entering the cylinders however the AFR will get leaner so the carb will need jetting.

It will have more power or merely be capable of it if the jetting were corrected?

I do know it, but your answer seemed a little vague, possibly misleading. Just wanted to give you a chance to clarify. Within current posting limits, of course.

Do you guys know if most after market air filter&nbsp\\;kits come with the proper jets for the filter kit, or are these something a guy would have to pick up seperately?&nbsp\\; Also, am I right in assuming that the idle would have have to be adjusted since there would be a large air-flow increase?&nbsp\\; Thanks for the help.&nbsp\\; T.J.
