Default spit-sputter

alright guys, help me out. I have an '86 sporty. It hesitates when it gets really warm,about 30 miles, and only at higher rpm's. my air filter and plugs look fine. any ideas?

Make sure the acceleration pump is squarting, check the timing, check the VOES for propper opertion.

Try loosening the gas cap when it is happening and see if it clears up. Just had one the other day that the tank was not venting. After 30 or 40 minutes of riding it would start spitting and sputtering like it was out of fuel. Open and close the fuel cap and it was good for another 30 minutes or so.
