88 to 95 - Simple cylinder swap?
Is going from 88 to 95 as simple as a cylinder and piston swap? I was just curious as I know of someone who has a set of cylinders and pistons from a low mile 95 setup. He went to a 110, and offered to sell me the 95 cylinders and pistons.
Could I not just take these and swap them for mine, effectively making my bike a 95? I know I would have to get a gasket set, and then probably the matching cams for the larger displacement, but was looking for a way to increase power w/o bankrupting myself!!

yes you can you also need to get new lifters....200 something good cams 275 to 350 or so new cam shoe's ??? and you realy need your heads worked Big Boyz does good work at a good price. you will need to know what kind of pistons he has and if they are dome you need to know the dome cc's you need to figure out what cam you want then what compression for the cams and the heads need to be. \\; so you see there is more than just slaping stuff together.... now if you get a Harley shop to put it together it will cost about 1,100.00 or so. then after break in you need to get it tuned \\;

Well nothing with FI is cheap,

As TBT says, If you go some miles on it you may want to do lifters with the cams. I'd also replace the inner cam bearig with a full complement bearing. If the heads got a bunch a miles on them it's a good idea to have them checked. BB is good as is Deweys heads, Larrys motorcycle machine if you want the heads cleaned up a little. Low miles I wouldn't bother. \\; With an RK I'd only go with flattops if that is what the guy has got. Still \\;I'd have the clearances checked even if they are reasonably new SE take-offs. Set the quench to 0.030 -0.035 with an 0.030 cometic head gasket. As with all FI, you need to retune.
