My bike's timing for first fire is 750-1000RPM, MAP of 60-100:::: O(zero) degrees. The very first fire will be maybe 350-500 RPM and 60-100 MAP. For my bike the less the better. Most bikes can do the same. Below 2-3 degree tops.
The second or third fire will be 1300 RPM anyway so only at the very first does it need help.

oil the releases 1st then try the other avenues.

 

Gunney, are you saying my timing for start up should be 2° - 3°?&nbsp\\;

 

I had one that was sticking in the down or open position.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I soaked it in&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;Liquid Wrench&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;overnight and reinstalled and no issues now.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I believe a small piece of carbon or other foreign debri got in there and stuck.
