Default Fuel mileage check post-dyno...

Due to the dealer's failure to notify my of the need to dyno my bike at about 1000 miles (SERT installed before purchase), I drove the bike that way until about 6000 miles. Very hot, and when dyno'd, determined to be very lean. But all the while I was averaging about 40 mpg.

Today on the first long ride with mixed highway and around town, following the dyno about 1 tankful ago, I calculated the mileage: 36 mpg. Sooo, 4 mpg less now that the engine is properly tuned in light of the SERT and other mod's... Small price to pay for a great running machine.

BTW, this mileage is on a fully loaded '05 Ultra, and I'm not necessarily the most conservative when starting from stops nor passing slower vehicles on the road...

Any other experiences along these lines?
