Default stock exhasut

Hi yall, I have the stock exhaust still on the bike and was wondering if I could just knock out the baffels fora short term fixuntil I get enough cash for a full system. Would doing that, would I have to take it to the Dealer and have them remap it with the computer? Also, what about slip on mufflers? Anyone have any positives about them? Thanks.

With SE stage two jet kit you should be allright to go.I would buy a cheap set on ebay with some scrapes and keep the old mufflers for EPA if ever needed. Also you could check your plugs to make sure its not running to lean .

I would always go with slip-ons rather than knock out the baffles on the stock mufflers. Aftermarket mufflers are designed to make good power, whereas you don't know what affect screwing around with the baffles on stock muffs will do to the performance of your engine. I also would recommend mufflers with stainless steel baffles. They last forever and can't get blown out or burned up like the ones that have packing in them.
