Default Cruise Control Adjustment

my cruise control isn't working, I'm positive nothing is broken, it just needs adjusted. Any tips on how to do this on my 2007 ultra classic would be greatly appreciated!

The service manual goes into detail on how to do the slack adjustment for the module. Read it and it will explain. When you turn on the switch for cruise, is the orangish indicator lamp coming on? Have you checked fuses, and made sure the cruise cable is still connected to the throttle?

I don't have the service manual, I will be ordering one. The light does come on, the fuses are fine, and the cable is connected.

This is the "cable lash initialization" procedure:

The regular service manual won't have any diagnostics procedures for the cruise control. However, the electrical service manual has an entire section on troubleshooting the cruise control system. Certain button operation gives back codes that will tell you what the problem it. If you have an Ultra/Classic, with all the electronics aboard, the electrical manual is a lifesaver. Although it is also about $50, it is still less than a service call at the dealership.

I took it to the dealer, the cable was broken, at the end.
