Default Re-Wrapping Baffles

I just bought a nice set of 65115-98B's that are running pretty loud, and I think the previous owner pulled outthe fiberglass baffle packing.

He was on the quest for LOUD pipes, and called these the quiet pipes when I bought them.

I would love to re-wrap the baffles but have a few questions:

Where can I buy the fiberglass matting without having to order on-line? Auto stores?

How much does one put on the baffle? Ismore mattingquieter?

If there is no straps in the mufflers, what it the best way to secure it to the baffle?

Any help would be appreciated.

Not familiar with those mufflers, but baffle wraping is a stocked item in many dirtbike and japanese bike shops.

Just replaced the fiberglass on VH basic slipons. Piece of pie....easy as cake. Vh sells the fiberglass, or you can get the fiberglass and insulation at your favorite autoparts store....
wrap the fiberglass and insulation around the baffle...fiberglass side TOWARDS the baffle, so that the insulation material is facing out. You can either secure the insulation, once you've wrapped it around the baffle, with clear packing tape,,,,,about an inch in width,,,,,or you can use some wire. Don't compress the fiberglass too much, or you'll defeat the purpose of making the pipes quiet.
