I don't think that you can ever FEEL the difference in properly working plugs. Good plus vs. great plugs means the difference in maintenance periods, and the ability to fire under less than optimum conditions.

I've tried several different HD plugs on my screamin eagle and have decided that unless your running a mega incher stock plugs or the regular harley gold plugs work well. The Screamin Eagle Platinum plugs are high priced and didn't last as long as the stock plugs.

Y'know, I know of very few people that use HD plugs, be they standard or SE. Autolite and NGK seem to be the most popular of the clowns I hang with. Equal or better quality and lots cheaper, too.

I'll agree there - I believe NGK makes some of the best plugs on the planet, bar none...

I run Champions at $1.19 a plug and change at every 10,000, works for me.

On the subject of plugs, when do you think that you need to change spark plug wires and are the SE's that much better. If not, what do you use?
