I don't doubt those numbers one bit but let me ask you, how many rpms is your tq at 100 or above. Do you have a graph to post for us?
Thanks
Doc

The numbers that hdrk07_61 posted sound like what I've seen. I'm no dyno guy, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Just kidding. But seriously, I stopped by the local dyno shop, and he was just finishing up with a 2007 FXSTC. 103" with 255 cams, no headwork. Said that it put out 82 hp and 103 ft lbs.

To make this really simple ,... these are nothing more than air pumps so you increase the size of the pump but you leave the inlet small, so how can it make more power????? Unless you pressurize the air , ie super charger, turbo. So as Doc stated ad most others you are working in the wrong direction. You install a larger thottle body ok fine but the inlet ( heads) are still small so you have a coke bottle effect. The power is in the heads for your application cam wise there are better choices but you are not going to se huge gains with the stock heads. you have reached the limit of that head for the most part .

Port the heads ( spend the money on a good port job) and then go back out and ride the bike then see how it does.

If you want your 103 to scream get T-man Performance to do your stock heads and purchase his 590 cam. Race Tuner and a D&D Fatcat 2-1 exhaust. That dog will hunt. I did the motor on my boss's bike 2007 Street Glide. 115 hp 123tq. That 255 cam is the worse cam Harley has ever produced. T-man Kernersville, North Carolina ( 336 ) 993-7082.

Doc 1,

Are you asking for my graph? If so it is with my bike at the dealership. Those were the numbers he told me over the phone. We are finally getting some decent weather and I should be picking her up next week. I will post the graph once it is in my possesion.

Yes please do thanks Hamps.

Racinjason....in reality the 255 cam is one of the best SE has...there is NO other cam out there that will make the low end grunt like this one does. Now if you are a hp chaser this cam will not make you happy, I agree, but for the guy with a heavy cruiser and stock compression and all he wants s lowend tq....you can't beat the 255

Hope you listening to Doc and Steve, I have found that with the right heads with the right choke points and velocities, the larger throttle bodyswith the larger volume intake manifold(HPI), the horse keeps on climbing. You do not need the velocity in the TB as you do in a carburator. Better to have greater volume so that the next time the intake opens the charge is there waiting.
