Hi Gang, I just put down the deposit on my new FXDIand thought that I would rather go with the SE 2 into 1's vs the slip-on.s. They are on p. 537 of the HD catalogue...part # 64770-04, but say only for models with forward controls. I want good pipes, throaty but not TOO loud that won't invalidate my warranty. I am 56, so I don't want noise for style, but rather for safety, so that people in cages on their cell phones might hear me. I also have been told that the 2 into 1's provide more power. (Yes, I know I need to do the rest of the ATge I Air stuff and have it re-mapped) Any suggestions??? I'd like to have them done at time of purchase, but could go aftermarket if necessary. My dealer won't install anything not bought there. I use to do quite a bit of wrench twisting, but that was 20 years ago or better, so I would need a fairly simple installation or a shop near Central Illinois where I could get the work done. If you can wrench, buy the stuff put it on yourself, and take it back for the remap...if your not comfortable with the exhaust portion, than just have him do that and the remap. Good thing about letting him do the work is that your covered under the warrantee that way...though you might spend more on labor than you would if you actually had to buy a new set of pipes...

The warranty does not say that YOUR dealer has to do the install......If he won't install certain items- find a dealer that will.....Choose one that has experience with a braod selection of exhausts (bigger dealer- one with a dyno typically)

Load it in as part of the deal,pick it up all done....I really like my 2-1's went with VH though.
