D&D Police Interceptor

RE: D&D Police Interceptor
I am and I am very happy with their sound. I inquired about pipes when I got my SE Ultra, and the Service Mgr. at my dealership recommended them to me. My wife didn't want me to change from the stock pipes..but I felt like I was in the stealth mode all the time. Service mgr. recommended them, said not too loud, can hear the radio and won't upset the wife. Right on...sound great..real throaty...sorta pop pop pop when you roll throtle in 5th and 6th gear.
I have a pcIII.
I think you will like them.

Thanks for the info DAN,I guess the only popular D&D prouduct here is the Fatcat. On a scale of 1-10,10 being the loudest how do these compare to your SE mufflers? Also when your at a cruising speed or steady RPM do they go quiet? My S&S SPO mufflers used to but after the build they were too loud.

RE: D&D Police Interceptor
Probably a 5 or 6...really my wife was not upset at the sound. I had Vance and Hines long shots on my Heritage that were loud..We can hear the radio at hiway speeds, and she has not been upset about the sound.
I know that D and D makes other pipes that are much louder...

RE: D&D Police Interceptor
Phil,I tried aSUPERTRAPP 2-1 also the internal disc mufflers with the tru duals and both times when I had it where the noise level was okay I didn't care for the sound and the bike didn't seem to run very well, this was when it was a 96 yet. I guess I have to decide on the D&D police interceptors or wait for something like the V&Hmonster ovals since there suppose to be a"quieter" muffler.
