Default Kury Hi-Five / Ness Big Sucker air cleaner and riding in the rain

I'm thinking about going with the Kuryakyn Hi-Five intake or maybe one of the Ness Big Suckers (but not use the stock football cover) and I'm just wondering if anyone who is using them has had any problems with them while riding in the rain. I love the look of both of them but I'm not going to stop riding just because a little water falls out of the sky. Let's hear some opinions.

I've had a Ness Big Sucker without the football cover on my 2007 Heritage for 18 months without any problems whatsoever.

I'm curious too, has anyone had it rain so hard where they've had a problem with water and an open filter? Some of themhavesocks available, the Big Sucker doesn't, is it not even a factor? Not doubting you fastglass, just planning a trip and want to know if a spring downpour could cause problems out in the middle of no-where.

I have been running the Hi Five for over a year, including a 4000 mile roundtrip to Sturgis this past year, and have had no problems running it in the rain.

I have about 2000 miles on this Hi-Five and I've been through a few flooding rains with no problem. An excellent design, IMO.

Actually a little water in the intake cleans up the valves and seats. Old timer trick...
Does not hurt anything and cleans up the intake ports.
Have you ever put Sea Foam down the intake? That works even better.
