Default Cam timing question

I was looking at some cam spec tables and under cam timing I see, I:28/48. I know the I is for intake and I think the numbers refer to btdc and abdc. Is that true and which is which?

The first number '28' is Intake Open and thats BTDC......the second number '48' is Intake Close and that happens ABDC.

I did a short Thread on how a cam works a couple weeks ago....you might do a serch on that, you might like the reading.
