Default Anyone put an andrews 54 in a stage 1 96 yet?

Im looking for someone who has used the Andrews 54 cam in an 07/08 bagger with just the stage1 air cleaner, slip on's and SERT.
If you have used this cam as a "bolt in", please reply with your experience and dyno results if available. I know there are other cams available with different opinions, but I am specifically looking for someone who has already used this cam in the configuration I described. Thanks

I think I saw a dyno spec on nightrider.com, Stephen did mention this cam to me as a good choice but I think you need some other work as it s not a "bolt-in" cam, but I am no expert

Thanks for the reply. Yes, btw it is fine as a bolt in cam. Anyone with before and after numbers, I'd love to know what they are and where the Torque comes in at, compared to just a stage 1.

Check here, it has several dyno posts of what you want. http://groups.msn.com/harleytechtalk...D_Last=1288531

Streetglide,
Thanks so much for that link. They had an 08 with just the 54H cams and I was able to see where ther power comes on with this cam, and my setup. Looks like 2500-5500 is where the torque stays up. Exactly what I'm looking for out of a bolt in cam. Nice numbers too. I'm looking to do this swap this summer.

nightrider.com recommends the Andrews 37H came for that application. It says 100hp is possible with good heads and tune!!

I won't get into the details of why I disagree with nightrider, but I do. The 54 cams were specifically made for the 96's. Nightrider is a little behind the curve. Woods 6's and Andrews 54's are the best cams out there right now for stock stage 1 96 motors. I just prefer the Andrews products.

I'm looking at the 54's too, woods would be good but not at 100 bucks more I believe Andrews grinds them too

Bothwork great in 95" motors too. I recently installed Andrews 54N'sin my '02 95" w/a set of Deweys 'Pro Street' '06 heads & VERY happy w/the SOP results over my previous TW26 build.[8D]
