I am trying to put together a project plan for a Harley rebuild for my father-in-law. I was wondering if anyone had any sources for some good rebuilt engines, or even some salvaged engines that need to be rebuilt? My internet search hasn't turned up much of anything.

 

I don't know if you have a motor now, but a couple years ago my '93 evo munched up a lifters wheel bearing. made a mess of the motor. at that time I went with a Harley reman motor. If I was in that same situation today I would look for an after market motor on ebay. For what I paid for a 80 cu in motor to have installed, I could have got a 100 or 110 cuin motor. that carry a longer warrenty then Harleys reman did.,,,
