Default Dyno Tuning at Harley

I know this questions has been asked before but can someone tell me why it takes Harley 4 hours to Dyno tune my bike at $70 bucks an hour...what is done over those 4 hours??
I just put new exhaust and a PCIII on my ride and I want to get it Dyno tuned but as anyone else would,I want to get my $280.00 worth.

Thanks to all

Bone

Well they have to tune at every throttle position, they have to tune each cylinder separately, they have to monitor the temps so it does not get too hot yada yada, it is the ones that get your bike tuned in 3 runs that I would worry about. Doc 1 on this site is a professional tuner sohopefully he will see this thread and give you the specifics.

You would be surprised how much faster and better and complete the TMax learns on the dyno with controlled throttle positions and rpms.

Doc, how long would you say I would have to spend at the tuner if I wanted them to "verify" my T-Max setup? (it does run great but curious minds want to know...)

That depends on how smart the tuner is. If all you want to know is if it's fueling like it's mapped to fuel he has to take a AFR reading at the throttle positions listed in the TMax map....should take an hour I'd say.
