Default 1989 Evo Cam Bearing

I believe the Cam Bearing problem surfaced at a later year 91 or 92 with the INA bearing and the 89 uses the Torrington
is this true and is it still the consenses to change out at 30K
even if it is a Torrington bearing of course the lifter rollers
will be getting replaced for piece of mind.

The INA went into service in late '92. '89 had the torrington as stock. I recommend replacing the lifters every 30K as preventative maintenance. Inboard cam bearing (torrington) has no replacement schedule.

My 92 FLHS with 80K purchased in April 1992 has a Torrington B-138 cam bearing. Changing the bearing this winter.
