Default Put the V&H Big Shots on today- now AC and PCIII-discussion???

Riders,

I just put the Big Shots (Staggered)on my Fat Bob today and they sound great! Sounds like a H-D now. I ordered the Arlen Ness Stage one AC kit and the PCIII.Any suggestionsbefore putting the AC and PCIII on? The PCIII is not in yetbut I still plan onridingthe bikealittle(pipe only)it shouldn't hurtthe bikeright?

I've seen a lotof talk about AC and PCIII install. Ithink Iwill do both myself. I have a great neighbor to talk to and get advice from and he put his own mods on his'08 Dyna. Thepipes were no problem, I'm glad I did not pay the dealership $100 to do it for me.

I look forward to hearing discussion about different combinations of mods(pipes/AC/fuel manangement).

Ride safe- Mike

I see it's been a while since you posted this I hope you get this.
I am doing almost exactly what you did. I have an 08 softail custom I just bought v&h big shots staggered they arrived today. I don't know what to do about the tuner the pcIII by passes the o2 sensors andI don't think that is a real good idea. I am now thinking about letting the dealer just do their download and use the screamin eagle stage I air filter. /What did you do and how did it work out for you? thanx willieb

I put on my BSS last year on my '06 FB and rode it a bit (I had the stage 1 download and the SE Air Intake). It ran fine but I really wanted to do it right and got the PCIII. It's a very easy install (some bikes have a mounting issue - it can be very tight under the seat for some models).I think it made quite a difference in throttle response, HP and torque. Haven't dynoed it yet but the data is out there for those who have.

I dropped on a set of V&H Big Radius, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and a V&H Fuelpak. It took me about 2hrs (took my time). I had some help holding the pipes when installing so I didn't screw up the finish andexhaust gasket. The Fuelpak is a piece of cake to program, takes about 5 minutes. Runs great. Some +++ about the Fuelpak is ...easy to install, you canrecal it very easy, used my stock O2 sensors, small size, and cost. I paid about $220 from gopartsdirect.com. Worth every penny.
