Default more carbon in one exhaust than other...why?

hello all,i've noticed lately that my lower exhaust seems to be 'blacker' inside the baffle than the top exhaust. i'm running a set of vance and hines big radius with stock baffles. the bike also has a screamin eagle air filter, and the '07 harley download to the ecm. if anyone has seen this or knows a case,....i would like to know why?? top exhaust baffle looks alot cleaner than the bottom one.....

unless you had it tuned by an expert one cylinder is going to run richer/leaner than the other.
