it's a big cam for a 95, you'd probably want a little more compression and some headwork.Even then, you'd sacrifice torque down low over your current setup. The Crane 304 has only a little more timing than the 55's but would give you at least 2-3 more horsepower on top than the 55's, although probably rob you of even more bottom end.

^^^ That sums it up.
the 55 cam is a high end cam, good for a light bike.
Deweys heads told me he ran them and made 115 HP or so in a Dyna, but he liked the low end torque that the 37s had better!.
If you wanted a bad 95 pump it to 11 to 1 comp and run the HQ 0033 cam or the Woods T-9 more up to date grinds with big power.
I run the HQ Firestorm cams and they make great torque, and I leave my buddies SE 204 cammed Fatboy in the dust every time!

RE: andrews 55h
i have 210 fr, 205 rear cyl c.c.compression .s.e.10.25s , 204 cams, on big boyz cal,it shows 10.54 comp, why so much c.ccomp,i have no idea .stock heads stock h.d.gaskets .i check it with 2 defferent snapon gauges. i chose the 55s because on paper they look like 211s with .040 more lift .ive used 211s in stock 96s that ran strong. if i do have 10.54 comp. wont the 55s work o.k

How far down in the hole are the pistons at TDC, I remember mine being down at least .010 or .015. That lowers compression dramatically. Your Combo is almost the same as mine, except the 204s have the intake lobe advanced a bunch. That may be why it runs out of steam early, Mine pulls hard up high with the 37h, but I wish I had left the domes alone and went with a cam with a little later intake closing point.
I would not be too quick to blame the cams though, even the 06 heads on our machines are limited by the shallow floor (short side radius on the intake side), and small valves. I kinda think camming it further may be a waste of time without head work. I bought some SE performance heads off Ebay a while back, and have a friend of mine working them over for me. When I get the heads back from porting, I think I'll get the forged pistons, and try the Black Widow BQ48s. If it is too soft on the bottom, I can always get a 4 degree pinion gear.
