Default Another Cam question for 96 incher

OK, here's the situation. I have an 07 Deluxe, K&N Hi Flow filter, V&H BSS, Dynotuned to 70 HP and 84.5 FT LB Torque. I'm looking to get a little more mid range torque by adding cams first, then a 103 kit if the cams don't do the trick. My indie tells me he can put in SE cams plus some other stuff first, then add the 103 big bore kit if I'm still not satisfied, and the charge for the 2 step upgrade will be the same as if I did them both at the same time. But the real question is which cams to use. He wants to use HD SE cams. I've looked at the different specs on these cams and it gets confusing. For my bike, as it is, and if I did go to 103 inches, is there one Cam that will best fit my needs (ie low to mid range boosts). My Torque curve right now is pretty flat right off of idle. I'd like to keep it that way, just move the curve up from 84.5 to about 95-98.

The HQ 500 will work well with a basically stock engine and is also compatible as you make changes, such as going to a 103 and head work. The Woods Performance TW6H will also work well in this way. You need to do a little research before making a final decision. The cam you put in today may not work tomorrow if you make changes. Good example is the Andrews 26, good cam for a basically stock engine and stock compression, but it does not like increased compression ratios so if you make changes later, you would alsohave to change to a different cam.

local dealer here is installing s.e.211s in 96s and 103s . 90 h.p. 95trq. in 96s, 95, 100, in 103s.. some prefer the andrews 54 ,a close copy of the 211s

TXTEC, thanks for that info. My indie seems to want to stick with HD SE cams. I may do the 103 kit but don't expect to do any more work after that (never say never) so I'm looking for a cam that will work with stock 96 and 103 inch engines. Those #s also look pretty good. I was hoping to get into the mid 90s on TQ. Any idea what your HD dealer charges for the cams alone, or cams and 103 kit? I'm assuming the 211s work well for normal driving, ie 3000 to 5000 RPMs.

I've got an 07 Ultra with Rinehrt slip ons, Arlen Ness big sucker and PCIII. Just added Screamin Eagle 255 cams and had it dynoed. 81 hp/95.2 torque. Really happy with it.
