I'm doing a new build with gear drive cams, and would like to know where I can buy the new replacement Torrington 148B inner cam bearings at a reasonable price.

 

should be able to get them at your local indy. mine keeps them in stock at all times.

 

Thanks, that's what I'm going to do today. I just thought I could get a set online through a shop.

 

Any bearing house or bearing distributor should have them available......and they are pretty cheap too.

You can get them on ebay Harley house of bearings I think,just type torrington 148 in the search.Otherwise most auto parts should be able to get them for you. I work at a Case IH dealer and we sell them here, they are used in combines. Todd

 

I get 'em at Napa for about $8 bucks...

 

I tried 3 different places before I got what I wanted. I'd call on the phone and be clear that I wanted the Torrington bearing but when I got there they'd try to give me either Ina, SKF or Toyo ****. Finally got the Torrington from a bearing distrubutor.

 

FYI, guys Torrington was bought out by Timken several years ago so if your bearing comes in a Timken box don't be surprised.

 

I bought mine through "House of Bearings" through E-bay. I would reccomend them.
