I have a 2003 RK with your same set up. I just put in the SE 204s last weekend. I can really tell a difference in the performance. The torque curve seems smoother. You get going fast much faster-if you will. I know a lot of guys knock the SE parts, but these cams seem to perform well. However, if you are going to do the work yourself, go ahead and get what you want the first time as the procedure of changing the cams left me sore for a few days I like the 204s. They are designed for an open intake and less restrictive exhaust. Good luck!

I have the HD stage II big bore with the 203 cam and while it is not the best performing cam it does well in my RG.

The key is choosing the correct cam for the application.

I seriously considered the SE204...turned out not to be truly compatible with current mods.....Just this past weekend I installed a set of Andrews #37G's in my '06 FLSTC(i) Up to this point it was running a little rich due to the fact that the stg 1 ECM flash is pretty broad, plus I am not a tuner.. but now the plugs look great.(not lean) And when I shower down it? ITS GONE.....RIGHT NOW.... VERY wide power band...yeah, I got a huge WOW! factor out of it.
I'm running a stock comp. TC88, SE stg 1 flash, SEair box w/K&N, SE slip-ons.
Original post edited... don't want to steer anyone wrong; just putting in my .02 worth...many more guys with much more knowlege..
Dalton for one...

I would go with the 204 it has a braoder range and it more responsive than the 203.

one more time... with few exceptions, changing just cams to increase torque in the low to mid range will not work. The quickest/easiest/most cost effective choice to increase torque in a Twincam is to increase displacment, ergo, cubic inches. 95" jugs, preferably with head work so you don't have to do it later, would be the way to go.... my .02.

PS: for stock to something like the 204 cams, you won't need headwork.

Head-Quarters website:

http://www.head-quarters-usa.com/ushome.html

I have the HQ-0034 cams in my othewise stock '04 EG with Rinehart TD's and SE a/c. I do most of my riding from 2000 to 4000 rpms and these cams work great.

As for a torque increase, the bike previously had 68 stock, 78 ft. lbs tq with the TD's and a/c;and, now has 90. Doing a 95" with cylinders only (no cams or headwork) is a waste of money unless you just enjoy taking the motor apart and putting it back together.

My HD dealer just suggested SE 203's for my 07 FLHRS. I have Stage1, K&N, Cobra Slip-Ons, and V&H FuelPak. Looking for a little more low / mid without hurting mileage. Staying with HD parts to keep warranty. Dealer said SE 255 more for an Ultra which is almost 100 lbs. heavier than my Road King, says SE 204 if I want more mid / high range.

So, SE 203's in my combination seems reasonable for my goals, figure worth a try.

Any idea what I should see for for HP/TQ after installing Andrews 21's on a Stock 06 RK with Stage 1, Race Tuner, and V&H. Andrews is saying 15% increase. Anyone dyno there bike with similar config?
