DD FAT CAT warranty sucks
Just installed the fat cat pipe on my 03 heritage. When i finished i noticed that the rear heat shield was scratched. i went to exteme measures to make sure that i didnt damage them in installing them. Called d and d he said that he could not help me. Maybe it wont happen to you but it sure did make me not feel good about dd pipes now. Come on its just a heat shield.

RE: DD FAT CAT warranty sucks
Well I would disagree that the warranty sucks. I have had customer receive a pipe that was shipped to them with a mark on the heat sheild they sent the parts out before they had gotten there sheild back. We are a direct dealer , buying a few hundres sets of pipes a year and have not had any issues with warranty at all. With only 2 or 3 issues , all where taken care of ASAP , with no issues. Where did you buy the pipe from?? , Did you inspect all parts before installing them?? Most place inlcuding us want the customer to inspect the items sent for any issues with a certain amount of time from when they received the parts. I get calls where a customer will say that they did not get a part. I pull the shipping sheet and I find that I packed the box and know it was in there. That is the reason we set it up on the paper work you have 48 hours to get in touch with us if there are issues.
Plus if you run the pipe lets say for a week and then call?? And I am sure that all the insturctions from D&Dsay that you must inspect the part before running them. ( along those lines) AS the heat sheilds that we had issues with the customers did not run them.
