Has anyone tried this DaVinci Booster Kit? What's your thoughts on it?

They do help in the mid range section to stop the flat spot. BUt I guess I still have a very HARD time swapping a cv for a S&S. You can have a great running bike with a cv with some tuning to your stock carb. THe CV is a great carb.

 

Well I have allready put a S&S shorty g on it a couple of years ago. I was just wonder if the Davinci mod is worth $145?

 

Id say for a few bucks more get yourself a Mikuni carb. If your thinking of spending an extra $140 for that mod, keep the cash, sell your S&S carb and buy a Mikuni carb for around $250-$300. One of the best performing carbs on the market at any price point.

 

I have the DaVinci Kit with the S&S Super E carb.
My engine builder/ Dyno tunner said it would help out alittle in the low to mid range sence I was running Rinehart true duals. I had a real,real bad flat spot and a major dip at 2200 RPM. This was after doing 97" bore job and Basiley head work. I had less TQ from 2000-3000RPM then I did with the 88" and stock heads. I must say I wasn't very happy at all. He told me to try the DaVinci Kit and or get rid of the Rineharts. I didn't want to git rid of the pipes so he just installed the DaVinci Kit and dyno'd it again. The flat spot was gone but their was still a bad dip in the curve, and it was still a DOG until it got to 3000RPM. I ended up yankin off the Rineharts and puting on a 2-1 Thunderheader, and it's all good now.

 

the original vendor who distributed the davinci kits owed us tons of money when they went belly-up.so they paid us in davinci kits. we probably have several thousanddollars of tese kits in stock-------------don't buy one.
tune your mikuni or cv keihen instead.
and yes. we install lots of super e and g carbs, its what the masses want.
my personal opinion says get the hsr mikuni and ride.

 

Pur a Yost in that S&S..end of problem.
