RE: s/e mufflers
I'm not sure how to answer this question. You would be best to hear some and decide for yourself. I went to the local dealership and they were able to let me hear them before I purchased them. They usually have a bike for sale with them on, or just installed some. Other than that I can say you get a little more sound at idle and a lot more when you crank the throttle, but overall they are good sounding and not too loud. They also are designed to improve performance when you add a high flow air cleaner and adjust the EFI tables to match.

The SE slip-ons were not much of an improvement over stock. I used BCT baffles to improve mine. They snarl pretty good now. If I was going to do it again, I'd buy a whole system instead. I'm already looking at 2-into-1 systems now. More power and good sound can come together...
