Default V&H Slip-On's No Baffles

I just had my 08UC with V&H headers and turned down slip-ons dyno'd. The guy told me the reason he could only get 69 pony's(stage 1) was because the 1 1/2 inch headers into those huge 3" - 4"inch slip-ons is one thing but the main reason is the slip-ons have no baffles. They're open and he thought that was wierd. They were installed at dealer on purchase though so I believe that is the way they come. Any thoughts on no baffles losing horse power. Thinking about going back to stock mufflers, re-tuning. By the way went from 65 to 69 h.p. and 90 - 95 torque. It does run better.

Default RE: V&H Slip-On's No Baffles

As far as i know, all V&H Slip-ons come with baffles. They are removable though. Unless your dealer removed them they should be there? What Style mufflers do you have? do they have endcaps? are they slash cut?
