My question is how long can I let my bike sit without adding any type of
fuel stabilizer to the system? I got sick the day after Christmas (pneumonia) and haven't been able to ride.A friend of mine came over and hooked up my battery tender for me. Thanking you guys in advance..

I live in Ohio and I have never used a fuel stabilizer. My bike has been parked from Nov. to March a few times and it started and ran just fine. I had a car that sat for 3 years with a full tank and I took it out one day and drove over 700 miles, no problems.
Snake oil in my opinion.

Most gasoline begins to really degrade after 3-4 weeks in your tank. I use stabil every Winter because it is cheap insurance against fuel system varnishing from por quality gasoline. Once you gum up a fuel system it is a bit-ch getting it clean again. Some people get by without it but others create a real problem by not using it. Just depends on your gas brand and how much additives are in it. For $3 I never hesitate to use it even though the bike runs like crap until you run it all out.

I agree- stabil runs like crap in the engine until its run out. And true, a gummed up fuel system is no good either .
