Your advancing the cam to get better lower end power and then installing a comp baffle which will loose low end power. Make the parts work together not against each other. Delcron cam plate is money thrown away...no need for it.

Good luck

I enjoy reading enthusiastic posts by guys doing engine work.

You don't mention which 103" crank you are using and that'scritically important.

You also don't mention what porting is going to be done, what your compressionwill be,etc.

As for the cam plate and oil pump, the SE plate/oil pump gets excellent reviews.

Sounds like you are willing to spend a lot of money for well-known parts without a clear idea of how they will all work together. Unless you are an experienced builder or have knowledge of what you are putting together from a proven source, I'd suggest youhang on toyour money until you do. Really, with the information you provided it's impossible to say much else.

This is good advise. I never like to see someone pick a cam and then pick a porting shop because they usually wind up dissapointed, frustrated, and brokein the end. I have several proven combinations that I use and once I install one of these for someone, here comes their buddies. You have several parts listed that I would not choose.

We embrace the Woods cams, not saying others won't improve.
The heads should be addresed also, tailoring them to the combination.
We happen to know of some folks that do that.
