Default Harley Davidson slip-on mufflers (with script writing)

Anyone have ANY experience with the Harley Davidson slip-on mufflers that have script writing "Harley Davidson" on them? How do they compare to OEM HD or Screamin Eagle WRT performance and sound?

Hope someone can help, I may be able to get a pair but am reluctant unless I know more about them!

many thanks!

I think they are the first Screamin' Eagle ones. Later they changed the script for Screamin' Eagle and later for Screamin' Eagle II. They are older than the new ones, but I think they are almost the same. I suppose they changed the name for marketing purposes.

I had a set installed by dealer when Ibought up my '06 Low Rider.

Part #80418-06 for Dynas and usually referred to as Screaming Eagle 1 and had the Harley Davidson script

They replaced the discontinued Screaming Eagle 2 modelswhich had the Screaming Eagle script.

The SE1 are50 State street legalandlouderthan stock, but significantly quieter than the SE2.

I switched to V&H Straightshot slipons with Quiet Baffles and soldthe SE1 mufflersto a forum member, and he likes them.

Depends on the sound you are looking for.

I know this is an old post, but I just got a set of the slipons with the "Harley Davidson" script on them and they are "EPA" friendly and probably as quiet as stock. They are a tad lighter than the stockers, even though they are huge, but not louder at all. I have a set of the original SE's (made by Cycle Shack?) with no baffles, only a backpressure flap and they are very loud. I was looking for something in the middle in terms of loudness, but these scripted ones are way too quiet for me. Performance seems to be good though - lots of low-end grunt. My 2 cents...
