Default Rush slipons ?

I had the Rush Slipons put on at the dealer. I now notice on the right side exhaust there is a yellowish color where it slips into the header pipe. This isn't normal right?

If you have a baffle bigger than 2 inch they will yellow unless you have a tuner and hi flow

The color is indicative of high heat, bike is running lean. Have you had a PCIII, or TMax, or any fuel management system installed? It is not do to poor quality of the chrome, but heat.

I just bought the bike this past Saturday at Barnett's HD in El Paso and rode it home back to Memphis. There is no fuel manager or commander....no stage I . I talk to the tech guy at Rush this morning...they are going to replace it. I have the 2" baffels so I'm going to get a stage I download map and open up the breather with a K&N filter at my local dealership today. Thanks all for your help

I would suggest dropping down to 1-3/4" baffle. At least that's what my stealer is telling me will fix the decel popping I'm currently experiencing with 2-1/4" baffles in Rush slip-ons. They say this will work best with the standard HD download. Good luck!

Rush is replacing my slipons with a new set with 1 1/2" baffels. Should take care of the discoloration and excess heat...

Does Rush have their own website? I've been searching and can't find one.

kjelders:

My 1 3/4 Rush slip-ons did the same discoloration thing earlier this year, and they replaced them with no problems.

First class company!

Can you do the Stage I download set up with the stock EFI, or does that then require Pwer Commander etc?
