Default Engine Missing

Hello, this is my first post here. I bought my first Harley last week, a 2000 FXD. I know very little about them but I like it a lot. I am having a problem with the way it is running. It runs perfect at idle, and under heavy throttle, but when cruising at medium range rpms it has a bad miss. It is bad enough that the bike shakes and sputters. If you give it the gas it completely goes away. Any idea what this might be?

Check for air leaks in the intake around the heads & carb, vacume line.
Also plugs & wires.
Check your carb jets & A/cleaner.

8Up I think hit it on the head, hope your not bogging it down it is easy to do with first Harley "Let her Purr", Have you checked your Plugs? Are you running a high enough Octane? I know if I put low octanne in my bike she runs like a pig. Make sure you spend the extra and feed the girl right.

Hope these help

Did you ever find the problem? I'm having the same problem right now.
Thanks Quigley
